Happy 30th Birthday to VAE and Happy 50th to creative collaborator and musical instigator, Matty Stecks!
Join us to celebrate Saturday September 21st at Little City Cider Co. in Bennington, VT.
This family fun day kicks off at 4pm with bands intersecting world traditions, rock, funk and jazz along with a cookout BBQ by Powers Market and the VAE Art Bus onsite making art. Featuring onstage; Julian Gerstin Sextet –
Caribbean rhythms, Balkan and Arabic flourishes, beautiful melodies, the intensity of jazz. Heard – Passion for West African, Brazilian, Caribbean, jazz sounds and beyond. Improvising together to create irresistible grooves, set in a unique sonic tapestry. Matty’s Marauders – An altogether alt persona, once saxman Matt Steckler emerges from the shadows to traverse the rock/dance space-time continuum. Wrapping up the evening with the Cosmic All-Star Jam!
