“Kidbrass is a Brooklyn-based group of self-described recovering jazz musicians whose fusion of jazz and psychedelic rock underpins their trumpet and sax fueled party music. Formed in 2021, Kidbrass has played regularly around New York City including residencies at The Bitter End, The Sampler and Double. Featuring members of Castle Rat, Cab Ellis, Nour Harkati, Yuchtet and others, members of Kidbrass have performed at Radio City Music Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Bowery Ballroom and elsewhere. Kidbrass has earned their reputation as a band that works. Decadent electric guitar, tenor sax, trumpet, drum and even bass solos take turns melting faces, but their music always strives to include and elevate, not alienate. Kidbrass drummer and MAUHS grad, Leo Yucht returns with this exciting group guaranteed to warm up the lodge.
“VAE has presented Leo several times and he always brings a good time and some of the best players around” says VAE director Matthew Perry, “the lodge will be a great venue for this and supporting Prospect is icing on the cake”.
Prospect Ski Area has been a favorite for cross-country, back woods and a competitive racing site for many years. Now in local control as a non profit 501c3 organization, they’ve expanded snow making and are getting ready for a great season ahead.
“Prospect, for those of us who have been involved for many years, is a labor of love,” says Dave Newell, PMA president of the Board, “We kind of have a spiritual connection to this place and we want to preserve it in perpetuity for our children and grandchildren.
Looking forward to seeing you for a great night of music in the lodge!
